Celebrities VS. The Paparazzi

I recently saw a video of Naomi Watts just trying to get to her car peacefully; and the paparazzi would not let up on her even though she is pregnant and ask if they would leave her alone. Do you think its right for paparazzi to follow celebrities private life? Do you think its right the paparazzi follow celebrity’s kids?

Thank God for Old Geezers!

At sporting events, during the playing of the National Anthem, Old Geezers hold their caps over their hearts and sing without embarrassment. They know the words and believe in them. Old Geezers remember World War I, the Depression, World War II, Pearl Harbor, Guadalcanal, Normandy and Hitler. They remember the Atomic Age, the Korean War, The Cold War, the Jet Age and the Moon Landing, not to mention Vietnam.

If you bump into an Old Geezer on the sidewalk, he will apologize. If you pass an Old Geezer on the street, he will nob or tip his cap to a lady. Old Geezers trust strangers and are courtly to women. Old Geezers hold the door for the next person and always, when walking, make certain the lady is on the inside for protection.

Old Geezers get embarrassed if someone curses in front of women and children and they don't like any filth on TV or in movies. Old Geezers have moral courage. They seldom brag unless it's about their grandchildren.

It's the Old Geezers who know our great country is protected, not by politicians or police, but by the young men and women in the military serving their country.

This country needs Old Geezers with their decent values. We need them now more than ever. Thank God for Old Geezers!

I wake up every morning seeing this on the fridge. My dad is an Old Geezer, and I'm proud of him. I too think now more than ever we could use more Old Geezers around. Tell me your thoughts on this piece of work?

Presidential Debates

With the debates in arms reach this week, we as voters have to start thinking about the issues we hold close to our daily lives. These debates are hopefully going to make or break this election for one of the officails and finally going to move beyond the personal attacks and start focusing on the issues. We as young voters have a great voice in this upcoming election and if just 80% of all young voters aged 18-25 voted we would have the largest voting brackets and would literally make this election. So my three questions are this. What issues do you want to hear the canditates speak about? Will you watch the debates or do you feel you already know who your voting for? Finally if at election time you didnt have a good grasp on who you wanted to vote for would you vote?

Hurricane Ike

Has anyone followed news of Hurrican Ike? A colossal Hurricane Ike menaced the darkened Texas coast early Sat, ensuring a sleepless night for thousands who huddled and waited to find out if a gamble to face the storm head on could cost them their lives. Wind-whipped waves surged over a 17-foot seawall in Galveston and filled streets with waist-high water. Homes were flooding, hundreds of thousands were without power and there was fear hurricane-force winds could shatter the sparkling skyscrapers that define the skyline of American's fourth-largest city. Rescue crews worried daybreak would bring a nightmare: Thousands who defied evacuation orders and became trapped in submerged communities. What do you think of this matter? What should the goverment do to help out the victims of the hurrican?

the hand we are delt

We have no say over the hand dealt us in life, but we do have a lot of control over how this hand is played. We are responsible for bringing out the meaning of our own lives in each moment that we live. Remember each moment happens only once and can never be retrieved again.

Middle Class

I love this country, and it hurts me to see middle class families struggle. So with this being said what does America need to do in order to not let the middle class shrink?

Chaos at the Republican convention

I read in the news paper that protester were smashing windows and were blocking traffic. Is it really necessary for people to vandalise other peoples cars or smashing windows just because they are protesting the Republican convention? I don't think so, if your going to protest something keep it peaceful so no one gets hurt or worse die! Even if they don't agree with the Republicans just make your point and leave.

So I saw Protest on the War this weekend

I was in the Marine for 4 years and I was directly involved with actions that were taken in Iraq/Afghanistan so seeing something like this would obviously peek my interest.
Where do you stand as far as the War goes?
Do you support the troops that are over there?
Do you know someone who has served in the military in Iraq/Afghanistan

Keep in mind you are open to your own opinions so please feel free to share what ever it is you believe.
