I was in the Marine for 4 years and I was directly involved with actions that were taken in Iraq/Afghanistan so seeing something like this would obviously peek my interest.
Where do you stand as far as the War goes?
Do you support the troops that are over there?
Do you know someone who has served in the military in Iraq/Afghanistan
Keep in mind you are open to your own opinions so please feel free to share what ever it is you believe.

The war is bad and needs to end because it's hurting us there in the middle east and here in America. I do support the troops, its not their fault we're at war.
I definitely support our troops, but I don't believe in the war that we are fighting right now. We originally went over to Iraq because of Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction and we captured him in 2004. So I am really not sure why we are still over there 4 years later, unless I'm missing something.
The position that I take on the war is one that, the reasoning for the Iraq conflict was not proposed correctly. Afgh. is different as the Taliban had control of that country. And being that the incidents of 9/11/01 were made through Taliban channels it only makes sense to start there. Also note that Iraq was controlled by Sadam, and he was one who kept the Taliban at bay from being an influence in Iraq. Sadams gone, Taliban moves in!
Granted Sadam was killing his own people, but could you not say the same of those in our country who sent troops to find WMD's that don't exist?
I support every person who wears a uniform from any branch of service from the U.S., as I did serve time in the Army. I do not, on the other hand, support the ways that we became involved in the conflict in Iraq. I also do not support the upper ends of our govt. which can make a decision such as acts of war with out clear and definitive proof, WMD's, "yellow cake" and "aluminum tubes" don't cut it for allot of people now days.
Lastly, I feel that the use of private contractors is downgrading our military. Why be in the military if they will outsource your duties to companies who may not be in on the whole picture?
TY for your service.
I feel that the war was a neccacery action that we had to make, its a touchy issue on when we should pull out... cause if we pull out to soon it will just fall back on their old ways, but if we stay to long we risk the chances of loosing our men and women to a cause that has already happened... sure leave a few post over there but bring the majority of them home... its touchy but when we pull out lets make sure we did something over there. WE HAVE LOST TO MANY PEOPLE FOR THIS TO MEAN NOTHING! I am a bit one sided I will admit, i have had a few family members serve over there... not exactly a great time but it was neccesary.

my position on the war in the middle east in really hard t o explain because I think it is pointless and I also think it is useful.
it is pointless because we are losing also of Americans life’s
and a lot of them are our ages.
and it is useful because we need that foreign oil so we can supply America.
so really im impartial about this war
I support the troops in every way possible. I also support the war. Do not believe everything the media tells you. I have a cousin in the army, when he came back for a little bit he asked my grandma(who is totally against the war). Do you ever here about the schools that we are biulding over there? Or about the freedom people now have? No you dont.
Thank you for your Service.

Yes war sucks but it’s inevitable, it’s been around since the beginning of time and it will until the end of time. I think the US needs to keep their nose out of other countries crap unless we're involved. The Iraq war isn't going to end anytime soon with a new president or not. I just think we need to demolish all the crazies and try to avoid as many civilians as possible.
I think war is nonsence, also I dont want any country have to deal with war. I love peace, and people. I understant that you went to served the country, protect our people, we should feel the same way as you, but I dont support the troops in anywhere. I just think of people over there, over the war, and people here, came back from another one. Sad
I do not support our war in Iraq i do support the troops but i am convinced our government was to quick to wage war without thinking about the later effects. We have our generation fighting and dying for something most of us do not understand they are killing the USA youth over BS and will not admit to it. I think we need a five year withdrawl plan and we need to bring our friends and brothers and sisters home.
The war is a good thing right now becuase if we weren't there in Iraq keeping things some what neutral god knows what Iraq would be doing to its people.
I currently have a good friend of mine stationed at fort benning in Georgia for basic training.
I support the war %100.
My stance on the war is that we should have never went over there in the first place because that is not where the "terror" was coming from but now that we are there and we have been fighting there for years we need to finish the job. We need to make the middle east strong enough to survive on there own with out us policing everything. I think everybody is the same about supporting the troops because even if you dont agree with the war you have to support our men and women. There has been a few close people to me that have went off to serve and they have all came back safe so I can only be happy with that.
I think the war is bad. Sometimes one country has a reason for the war. But at this time this war is taking to much time and it doesnt seens the end of it. Its costing too much money too. I do support the troops. Thats why It is good to bring them back.
